Prevention

Prevention is better than cure. At MEDIdesign we are seeking to enhance prevention via a number of strategies:

  • Reducing cost – by dramatically reducing cost, the aim is to support general screening of at risk groups long before symptoms become apparent, to enable proactive prevention methods to be deployed
  • Spreading the load – by simplifying processes and enhancing safety checks, scarce central resource can be supplemented by large-scale local detection at GP surgeries or elsewhere
  • Targeting via risk assessment – by robust analysis of the data, insights into the incidence likelihood of various population groups can be provided to identify higher risk segments where early intervention is warranted.    

    Targeting prevention to at-risk populations is often sensible.
